Social Media Giant, WhatsApp is undoubtedly one of the most popular messaging app in the world. No matter how you try to see it, the Facebook-owned app is extremely popular. And so also is Google Assistant. The artificial intelligence-powered virtual assistant can send text messages through WhatsApp all you have to do is say “O.K. Google, send WhatsApp message”. This feature is really important if you are sending a message that you want encrypted end-to-end. But note that the recipient of your message must be a WhatsApp member.
You can get the Google Assistant application here if you don’t already have it.
You can also get the Official WhatsApp Messenger or GB WhatsApp application here if you don’t already have it.
But let’s suppose you want to make a voice or video call using the Google Assistant? Normally this won’t work but, today Google announced
that Assistant will now make voice calls and video calls through the popular WhatsApp Android app.
To simply make a video call through the WhatsApp application, you can just say “Hey Google, WhatsApp video John.”
Unfortunately, Google didn’t go into great details about this with its announcement
today, and neither the WhatsApp video calls or voice calls has started working currently. It could be that Google announced the new integrations too early, or the new WhatsApp integrations are currently slowly rolling out to Android devices.
