The next version of Android, formerly called Android X and now Android 10, is expected to release on Pixel smartphones on the 3rd of September. The Android 10 update would not only be available on Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 3, and Pixel 3a Smartphones but also on Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones. See more here;

Google is expected to refresh its Pixel series with two new offerings, the Pixel 4 and 4 XL a bit later in October. The Pixel 4 device we predicted may come with a square camera module at the back which will house a dual rear camera setup.

These speculations suggest to us that the phone could either have an in-display fingerprint sensor or a secure 3D face unlock module at the front or both.

Closing the fun dessert naming tradition of Android devices versions, Google last week announced it had officially named the next version as just Android 10.

Android 10 also comes with a possibly better logo with the Android robot sitting on top. The color too has also been changed from the former green to black for better visibility. It is a pretty insignificant change but Google found out that the green was hard to read, especially for people with visual impairments. Google will officially start rolling out the updated logo with the final release of Android 10 in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Google reported that it’s shifting its Pixel smartphone production to Vietnam from China starting this year as it builds a cheap supply chain in Southeast Asia
