Itel P55 Plus Review

Here’s the Itel P55 Plus review and unboxing, you will find everything you need to know about the smartphone below.

The Itel P55 Plus is the latest addition to the Itel P55 series of budget smartphones. Priced around 120,000 Naira, this phone aims to provide decent performance and modern features without breaking the bank.

In this Itel P55 Plus review, we’ll see if it delivers good value for money.

Itel P55 Plus Review and Unboxing

Design and Display

Sporting a 6.6-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution, the P55 Plus offers a sharp and vibrant viewing experience. The centered punch-hole cutout and minimal bezels give it a modern aesthetic. Around back, geometric patterns resist fingerprints on the Black and Purple models while the Royal Green variant has an appealing leather-like finish.

A side-mounted fingerprint scanner doubles as the power button. And the headphone jack, USB-C charging port, and speaker grille line the bottom edge. Overall, the phone feels solidly built, especially for its price.

Cameras

You get a capable 50MP main camera accompanied by an 8MP selfie shooter. Pictures come out decent though low light performance could be better. There’s no ultra-wide or macro lens so shooting modes are limited. But the cameras should satisfy casual users.

Performance and Software

An Unisoc T606 chipset and 8GB of RAM drive the phone. Performance handles daily tasks like web browsing, video streaming and light games well enough but intense 3D games push it to its limits. Storage is generous at 128GB, further expandable via MicroSD card.

Android 13 comes pre-installed with Itel’s custom interface on top. You also get some bloatware out of the box which enthusiast users may want to replace.

Battery and Charging

A robust 5,000mAh battery keeps the phone powered for a full day of use. When you do need to recharge, the included 45W fast charger juices up the battery from 0 to 100% in around 75 minutes.

Verdict

The Itel P55 Plus brings several highlights like a 90Hz display, ample storage, and fast charging to a very affordable price. It makes some compromises along the way but largely achieves feature-packed performance that outshines its costs. For budget seekers wanting modern amenities without breaking the bank, the Itel P55 Plus warrants a look.
