A Nigerian-based startup called healthtracka uses it’s lab testing platform to help improve how Nigerians manage their health online without having to leave their home.
Healthtracka recently secured a $1.5 million seed funding to hasten the development of infrastructure and technologies.
Ingressive Capital, an early-stage VC with a focus on Africa, and Hustle Fund, an American startup fund, are among the investors in this round. Alumni Angel Alliance and Flying Doctors were two angel investors.
The startup was co-founded by Ifeoluwa Dare-Johnson and Victor Amusan in May 2021, Ifeoluwa Dare has worked for several years in the healthcare space before setting out to start and launch healthtracka.

Healthtracka gives customers immediate access to booking lab tests, at-home sample collection, and digital results in 1-3 days.

To examine data and refer patients to specialists for additional advice, Healthtracka also collaborates with doctors.
However, although a standard test covers the costs of phlebotomist visits and doctors analyzing the results, clients pay extra when Healthtracka links them with experts if the diagnosis is alarming.
Since its launch, Healthtracka’s network of phlebotomists has grown 20x to over 100. And according to Dare-Johnson, the company has conducted almost 7,000 tests at customers’ homes. As an outcome, its income is increasing by 30% on a monthly basis.
