New Age Fusion Bone Conduction Headphones Review
Unboxing & First Impression
Unboxing the New Age Fusion bone conduction, we are first greeted with the Headphone itself then a small box that holds the USB-C Cable and Ear plugs. Then under this foam cut, you would find the user manual.
Looking at the headphone for the first time you would notice the sleek design and premium build quality.
The New Age Fusion Bone Conduction headphones come with Bluetooth version 5.3, a distance of about 15 meters and ipX 4 water resistance.
Design & Build Quality
The New Age Fusion bone conduction has a plastic and rubber build body. The Headphones are lightweight which means they should be handled with care and they can get spoilt easily.
On the Right Ear, you will find the Power button, extra control and charging port.
The microphone is close to the multifunction button.
I gave a friend the headphone to share what he feels about the design and he made a comment about the headphone not supporting adjustable headband which provides a secure fit for different head sizes.
I would have preferred if the ear cups were a little smaller and straight which would make it sit comfortably on the cheekbone but overall the design and build quality are okay for the price.
We have open-ear headphones that cost around N100,000 like the SHOKZ OpenRun Pro.
How to Wear
Here’s a short guide on how to wear an open ear headphones correctly, Hang the headphone behind your neck with both speakers clinging to your cheekbones. After that adjust it until you feel comfortable.
Wearing the headphone wrongly can cause headaches.
Sound Quality
With bone conduction, you can enjoy your favourite music while staying aware of your surroundings, making it perfect for outdoor activities like running, cycling, or even commuting.
The Headphone fits perfectly without feeling any pain and I love that it’s weightless, making you focus on your activities.
Using it in weightlifting might not be cool with some activities like bench presses which would make the headphone uncomfortable for your head.
If you wish to enjoy your music, you might want to consider increasing the volume a lot more. I noticed the bass was punchy even for an open-ear design which gives you that feel of the in-ear design.
Whether you’re listening to your favourite playlist, watching movies, or making calls, these headphones ensure an immersive and enjoyable experience.
If you enjoy listening to music outside, I would recommend you get one. Especially those who own a shop and want to listen to music while hearing others around them.
Connectivity & Controls
Connecting the headphone to my smartphone was seamless using bluetooth and putting it on was easy using the power button.
The power button also serves as a volume up or next song.
The multifunction button allows you to pause, play, answer calls and access voice assistant.
Battery Life and Charging
The New Age Fusion bone conduction headphones have an impressive battery life that will keep you entertained all day long.
Charging the headphones from zero took about 2 Hours and the headphones can last up to 7 Hours while using to listen to music with the highest volume.
Active Noise Cancellation
The New Age fusion bone conduction does not come with Active noise cancellation, While i was on call with a friend outside he could hear the breeze more than what I was saying. which is a red flag for me.
Using headphones for calls would be good in a less noisy area.
Durability and Water Resistance
Durability is a key aspect but I did say the headphones won’t be able to withstand too much bending and twisting. which means it should be handled with care.
The New Age Fusion Bone Conduction Headphones feature a water-resistant design that adds an extra layer of protection.
Whether you’re caught in a sudden rainstorm or sweating it out during an intense workout, these headphones can handle the moisture without skipping a beat.
