HerRyde is a Ride-hailing platform that was recently launched in Abuja, Nigeria, the most amazing part about HerRyde is that it will help reduce women who get harassed when they book a ride-hailing cab.
According to the findings, 550 American women who claimed they had been sexually assaulted by male drivers on the ride-hailing network sued Uber.
HerRyde is providing a safer and better platform for women only compared to its competitors Bolt, Uber, InDrivers and other ride-hailing companies.
The platform’s introduction, according to HerRyde CEO Monsurah Oluwafuyi, COO Muhammad Muazu, and Chief Product Officer Kamaldeen Ibrahim, was intended to offer a safer choice for female drivers and riders while also generating employment opportunities for women.
Lots of Females in Abuja feels A women-only platform like HerRyde sounds like a good idea and should spread across other parts of Nigeria.
In order for the startup to help improve how women enjoy their rides, they introduced a platform that supports only female drivers which should help reduce harassment.
This means; HerRyde makes it much safer and more comfortable for women to commute, and it also encourages inclusion in a male-dominated industry by letting women work when it’s convenient for them without having to worry about their safety.
HerRyde benefited greatly from Ibrahim’s expertise in creating the ORide product as a former product manager at Opay.
The company is expected to expand to other parts of Nigeria and also across Africa in the coming months.
